"Abadas" now on Cbeebies!

Abadas is now airing on Cbeebies, which means I'm finally allowed to post about it!

I  was the lead animator on the unaired pilot episode, and one of 3 designers who developed the look of the characters. The other designers were Tracey Chung and Jenny Clements.

It's kinda hard to explain what part exactly of the characters' look I'm responsible for, so here's this handy chart to explain it for me:

I think they've turned out quite cute!

Beaver short finished!

 My "Off the Wall" short is now completed, and on display at the Old Library in Cardiff ! It'll be online once everyone on the project has sorted out festival submissions and all that fun stuff. Big thanks to Lee Dunham, Matthew Simkins and Luke Hyde for helping out with CG, animation, compositing and most importantly, cheerleading!

 I'm super excited to start another project now.. the hard part is deciding what to spend the better part of next year on!

New short short soon

Getting back into animating again, after a long break caused by 9-5 related activities. I've teamed up with a few awesome guys from work to create a one minute (ish) short for a BigLittleCity exhibition. We've each picked an animal from Cardiff's Animal Wall to animate in our own styles.

The animal I've chosen is the beaver. Here's a sneak peak of what the little guy looks like...

You might notice I've snuck into the animation credits, when in truth I only had time to help out with like a scene and a half. But it was great working with Jessica and I wish I'd had time to do more!
